Analysis of Relationship between Resilience and Well-being among Secondary School Chemistry Teachers

Abstract
This study aimed to find the relationship between teachers’ well-being and resilience at the secondary school level and to find the effect of Chemistry teachers’ well-being on resilience. The correlational research design was adopted in this study. The population comprised of 8911 Lahore division secondary school teachers. A multi-stage random sampling technique was used to select the 380 Chemistry teachers as sample of the study. Two five-point Likert scale adapted research instruments were used for data collection from the subjects. Pearson ‘r’ and linear regression were applied for data analysis. This study revealed the strong positive correlational between teachers’ well-being and resilience. Moreover, Chemistry teachers’ well-being has a positive impact on resilience. It would appear that studies on teachers’ well-being and resiliency would be profitable and enhance their future preparation with educational and consultative treatments that may be advantageous for the educator, the organization, and the advancement of the students. Further researchers may conduct the research studies using the same constructs by adopting the qualitative, experimental or mixed-method research design at elementary, secondary, higher secondary or university level.
