Abstract

This paper examines the impacts of economic policies on national integration in Pakistan with special reference since 1947. The analysis reveals how the policies of early government affect the national integration of East and West Pakistan.    The work investigates the problem of economic development between the developed and underdeveloped provinces of Pakistan with a special emphasis on the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, which have experienced neglect, fuelling the feeling of marginalization. Although it involves some important developments like the National Finance Commission (NFC) Awards and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) have tried to minimize this divergence, their benefits are also not the same, which means there is an essential need for Inclusive growth. The study demonstrates the effects of constitutional breaks, especially articles 158 and 161 in aggravating regional inequality and undermining the unity of the nation. While offering an overview of historical and modern policies, this study stresses the necessity of developing communicative and fair national economic policies that would contribute to effective national’ integration.
