Abstract

Shereen Zada Khodokhel is from the renowned village of Ghorghashto in Buner. His scholarly and literary endeavors shine brightly like the moon. He is a distinguished researcher, historian, biographer, novelist, and short story writer. In this regard, he has published numerous fictional and non-fictional books in both Pashto and Urdu. He remains tireless in his efforts and continues to actively contribute to academic and literary work. The genre of short stories in Pashto literature has a history of more than a century. Over the years, numerous authors have penned remarkable stories on diverse themes. However, Shereen zada Khado Khel's short story collection, *Mitria*, holds a unique place. What sets this book apart is that all of its stories are rooted in authentic historical events related to the life of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The collection was published in 1998, and in Pashto literature, there is no precedent for a fictional work of this kind—nor has there been one since.  The purpose of this review is to introduce *Mitria* to literature enthusiasts, as it may inspire readers to explore the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and encourage future writers to use their creativity in similar fictional narratives.
