Effects Of Tuition On The Students’ Academic Performance AtIntermediate Level

Abstract

The present research focuses on examining the impact of private tuition on the performance of the students who are studying at the higher secondary school in District Kohat. The research design utilized in the study was pre-test-post-test equivalent groups design with emphasis on fifty students in the control and the experimental groups. The research, which employs accurate data collection and analysis techniques including t-tests, shows significant improvements in the performance of students who were coached individually as compared to those who were not. The study highlights the importance of private tutoring in enhancing performance especially among the high scorers and the low achievers. The study indicates that parents and instructors should consider private tutoring as an extra teaching method.
