HOLDING AN ALL-PARTY CONFERENCE ... AN OVERVIEW

Abstract

All the participants in the all-party conference, chaired by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, have once again proved themselves by sitting at the same table in order to formulate and adopt a common strategy for overcoming important national issues. No matter what our internal differences are, we are and will remain one for the sake of the country and the nation. The all-party conference lasted for six hours. There was no lunch break. The conference has issued its six-point declaration. The most important point of this declaration is that it has been decided to take the issue of drone strikes to the United Nations. The United States has been claiming that drone strikes in Pakistan's tribal areas are being carried out under an agreement with Pervez Musharraf. Sometimes he says that the Pakistani authorities are informed before a drone strike. When NATO supplies were cut off, drone strikes ceased. As soon as NATO supplies were restored, drone strikes resumed. The United States drops drones whenever and wherever it wants. He does not consult anyone and does not listen to anyone. The entire Pakistani nation agrees that drone strikes are against the integrity of Pakistan. There is no legal or moral justification for these attacks.
